Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC)

The Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC), established on September 28, 1995, is one of China’s foremost non-profit arbitration institutions. The BAC provides impartial and efficient dispute resolution services. Today the BAC has expanded its services in domestic and international commercial arbitration and mediation, as well as other types of ADR.

The BAC has been developed into and is recognized as an independent and neutral center for the resolution of disputes arising from business and trade. In recent years, the number of cases filed with the BAC has increased considerably and the BAC has emerged as one of the most important and frequently chosen arbitration institutions in China and around the world. By the end of 2011, the BAC had accepted a total of 18,934 cases, with the total amounts in dispute exceeding RMB 87.97 billion. Meanwhile, a significantly increasing number of foreign parties from various jurisdictions, including USA, UK, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Australia, have utilized the services of the BAC.
