This virtual lead instructor training (vILT) course will assist participants to enhance procurement practices in their project or organization in relation to sustainability. A mixture of online instructional sessions and supporting activities will help participants reinforce and apply learnings.

Sustainable procurement is an integral part of delivering sustainable business practices within projects and organizations, driving better outcomes through reducing risk, adding value and encouraging innovation. Done well, sustainable procurement adds positive environmental, social and economic impacts throughout the whole lifecycle of an asset, goods and services, and encourages cooperation, buy-in and better communication between purchasers, suppliers and stakeholders.

ISC has developed a virtual training course that enables participants to understand how they can implement a more sustainable approach to procurement aligned to the IS Rating criteria, with the aim of creating procurement outcomes that reduce negative externalities while supporting contractual requirements, financial targets and risk management.

This course equips participants with tools and skills to enable sustainable procurement in their workplace, with a focus on implementing the procurement criteria in the IS Rating tool.

This virtual training is targeted at Sustainability Managers, Project Managers, Procurement Managers, and Sustainability Consultant.

This course is delivered in two half-day virtual sessions (Four x 90 min sessions) involving virtual instructor led training (vILT)).
